Tokay Gecko!!!!! A friendly and lucky Lizard, who says 'Wah! Wah'.

He was starring at me with his big black eyes.  There was no sign of life in him and yet his eyes were fixed at me.  I froze in fear.  I have never been this scared in my life, not even on the day I got a chance to pet a python in Singapore.

It was dark and the humid climate made me sweat more but not as much as the fear in my mind.  I pulled my sister's hand.  She was busy browsing through all the beautiful hats, which was hanging by  a corner of the cozy little shop set in front of a rustic house.  Hats of all colours and types : summer hats, English hats, laces ones, woven hats, insanely colored hats(wonder how I would look in thatπŸ˜…).

My sister did not understand why a shopaholic like me was not checking out anything in the shop and was looking at the roof until he made his customary call.  HE GOT ALL OUR ATTENTION.  ALL SIX OF US.

All of us were now looking at the roof and there he was clinging to the rood with all his four legs and his shiny scaly skin reflected the light near his long thick tail.

Yes, he was Tokay Gecko!!!!! A friendly lizard of BALI!!!!!! And they are not pleasing to look at.  The tokay gecko sound only comes out at night, generally around dusk. It’s a higher pitched noise, in two syllables, like a “wah-wah.”

And here is my experience and some tips on visiting Bali.

 AT THE AIRPORT

As I said earlier,  I was not alone in this trip.  We were six young Indian women but living in different parts of the world.  We had the best time of our lives, enjoying the unplanned trips in and around Bali, soaking in the beauty, serenity and peaceful life of Bali for 5 days.

Yes, just 5 days and we covered most of the beautiful places.  Its like heaven on earth.
I will keep it short and sweet.

Read my next blog to get complete details of my Bali trip at just Rs. 23000/AUS $500 and more crazy stuff we did at Bali.

Our guide was Ketut Karmadi, a very helpful person who also provides vehicles and books stays and tickets.

Why IVY?

The Ivy plant signifies one's thriving towards enlightenment, advancement in spirit; It is an alert for a spiritual awakening and rising to higher consciousness.πŸ˜–

It symbolises immortality and eternal life.  It also represents fertility....because ivy has the symbolism of constant affection. All can recognise that.  Psychologically, all are in need of love and affection.  In dreams it may signify a binding promise.😏

SERIOUSLY!!!!!!πŸ˜‹

You may or may not have understood the above gyan-dyan about Ivy, which came from google.

But the fact is that Ivy, is a beautiful climber, strong and steady in spreading its vines, like it doesn't give a damn for what's going on around it.  But there it is, getting all the jazzy attention that it enjoys and grows sagacious and wiser, for no one can hurt it or stop it.

SO THATS THE REASONπŸ™‹

Dreams do come true

Kalpana means 'Imagination' 'in Hindi.

True to the meaning of my name, I have been imagining all my life. It took a while(just about 20 years) to understand imagination doesn't help much but need to work too. So I started converting imagination into dream and started working towards my dreams. Believe me, it worked and now I am freakishly insane in many ways because 'I have seen my dreams come true''.

Travel, food and drinks, reading, writing, fashion, friends, motherhood, marriage....OMG....been there and seen that. I am not gonna bore you with any of the crappy life that I went through. But only the ones that were awesome and 'BITCHY'

Wait...before you think anything....
